Nostalgia at the Gedempte Zuiderdiep
A piece of Groningen city history is revived at Gedempte Zuiderdiep 8-10.
What once started as the “Groninger Volksgaaarkeuken” and became famous in Stad en Ommeland under the name “Woon- en Eethuis Voor Allen”, has been back since October 2011: restaurant
At the place where WEEVA has been preparing 'virtuous and strong food' for such a long time for 'very fair prices', affordable, traditional Dutch meals can now be enjoyed again. Almost 150 years after its initial opening, restaurant WEEVA has been revived. The nostalgic atmosphere of yesteryear has been given a new look, with a clear nod to the past. WEEVA stands for an excellent price/quality ratio, regional products, healthy food, hospitality & craftsmanship. Now the menu is mainly characterized by traditional Dutch dishes such as Stamppot, the WEEVA meatball and Groninger poffert. You can also come here for a competitively priced daily changing meal.
