Is a cooking competition between eatery and restaurant chefs based on time and predetermined products.
During the competition, both in the cooking round and in the semi-finals, cooking is done with a previously known selection of ingredients. In the final it comes down to the ingenuity and creativity of the chefs during the challenge of a Black-Box assignment. There are many chefs in the Northern Netherlands who cook at a high level; the eventual winner can call himself 'Best chef in the Northern Netherlands for a year.
According to a knock-out system, different cooks compete against each other in cooking rounds, in which groups of four cooks cook at the same time. All this under the watchful eye of a very expert jury from the catering industry. The eight best chefs from the preliminary rounds advance to the semi-finals. Finally, the top four chefs compete against each other in the final, with the winner receiving the coveted door sticker in addition to a beautiful prize.
