Restaurant Noor, located at Zuideweg 38 in Groningen, is looking for a driven Independent Chef to strengthen our team. As an Independent Working Chef at Restaurant Noor, you are responsible for preparing high-quality luxury dishes with fresh ingredients in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Job description:
- Preparing dishes/dish parts according to recipes and quality requirements.
- Carrying out preparatory work such as washing, cutting and cooking ingredients.
- Monitoring and checking the quality, doneness, taste, and presentation of dishes.
- Directing any auxiliary staff and giving instructions.
- Ensure compliance with regulations in the field of safety, hygiene and HACCP.

Responsibilities:
- Securing the stock and daily call-up of required ingredients.
- Contribute to quality improvement and optimization of menus and recipes.
- Carrying out clearing and cleaning work according to planning and safety regulations.

Desired Competencies:
- Coaching/Instructing: Knows how to motivate and make others enthusiastic, shows interest in the team.
- Taking initiative: Starts on his own, has confidence in his own abilities and quality.

As a Service Employee you are responsible for various aspects of the service in our catering company. Your tasks include:

- Taking care of mise en place, including setting and preparing tables, and preparing everything that goes with it.
- Receiving and placing guests.
- If necessary, prepare simple orders such as drinks, coffee, or small dishes/snacks.
- Serving dishes, water and drinks.
- Setting cutlery, removing dishes.
- Tidying up and cleaning after service.
- Cleaning public areas, outdoor and work areas.

Job requirements:
- Dutch speaking
- Minimum MBO level 2 working and thinking level.
- Insight into (legal) regulations in the field of safety and (social) hygiene.
- Knowledge of business rules and frameworks of the business formula.
