Will you help build the best cocktail & street food spot in Groningen?

For Mr Smith's Loft in Groningen, we are looking for a manager who can not only run a business but, above all, gets energy from people. Someone with a passion for hospitality, cocktails, and international cuisine. Someone who enjoys building and coaching a young team and working together to turn every evening into a party.
Mr Smith's Loft is a colorful cocktail and street food bar in the heart of Groningen. Guests come to us for shared dining, surprising dishes, good cocktails, and above all, a fun night out. We love an informal atmosphere, but consider quality and hospitality just as important.
What are you going to do?
As Manager, you are the face of Mr Smith's Loft on the floor. You ensure that everything is just right: from the first cocktail to the last table.
Your responsibilities include:
Managing the team on a daily basis during the service;
Ensuring a good atmosphere, for both guests and colleagues;
* Guiding, training, and generating enthusiasm for the profession among new employees;
Building a strong, young, and fun team;
Monitoring our quality, service, and appearance;
* Contributing ideas for cocktails, dishes, promotions, and new concepts;
Ensuring that staffing and planning are in order;
* Monitor inventory, orders, and operational matters;
* Guest contact and resolving any problems;
* Helping out on the floor and behind the bar when necessary;
Together with the team, ensure an evening that guests will want to come back for.
So, you are not someone who manages from the office all evening. You are right in the middle of the business, know your team, and know what is happening on the floor.
Who are you?
We are primarily looking for someone who fits in at Mr Smith's Loft.
Is a:
Have experience in the hospitality industry and preferably experience in a managerial position;
* Have a passion for cocktails, food, and hospitality;
* Gets energy from a busy evening and a full house;
Enjoys working with a young team;
Knows how to motivate and engage people;
Are social, enthusiastic, and not afraid to take responsibility;
* Maintain an overview when the pace picks up;
* Thinks in solutions and sees work that needs to be done;
Have a sense of atmosphere and guest experience;
You are flexible and have no problem working in the evenings and on weekends.
Experience with cocktails is a big plus. You don't have to be a professional bartender, but if you get excited by a good cocktail menu and are eager to learn more about cocktails, spirits, and food pairing, that would make us happy.
