D' Ouwe Brandweer is looking for reinforcements for its team! We are a cozy eatery that has been located on the Zuiderdiep in the heart of Groningen since 1994. With us you will still find real old-fashioned fun. Our name says it all; we are located on the spot where the sirens used to be heard clearly. The fire station of the city of Groningen was located opposite us.
Our interior often refers to this fire brigade theme! Something that loosens up the atmosphere.
Since the summer of 2020, we've invested heavily in making D'Ouwe Brandweer the most enjoyable and successful eatery in Groningen (we're proud of that!). To further achieve this goal, we're now looking for an assistant manager who, together with the existing management team, will further enhance D'Ouwe Brandweer's reputation.
You'll be joining a team of several full-time professionals, both in the kitchen and in the service department, and together with these colleagues, you'll form the management team. Together with them, you'll shape this fantastic company and make decisions in consultation with the owners.

What do we expect from you?
You love the hospitality industry! The friendly atmosphere and hard work in a strong team. Everyone on the management team actively participates on the shop floor.
- You are a team player, you know how to motivate and coach your team.
- You dare to take the lead and make decisions independently.
You are available 3 to 5 days a week, both during the week and on weekends. The schedule is determined together with the other management.
You already have experience in the hospitality industry, but we're happy to teach you everything about managing a business. You'll have every opportunity to grow in your role.
- You enjoy managing the day-to-day and week-to-week operations of a catering business.
You'd like to gain more insight into purchasing/personnel cost figures and apply them in your work. We'd be happy to explain the process to you.
