Bar Players opened its doors on October 13, 1986 and owes its name to the sports world and to the billiards / dartboards that were in the business at the time.

Billiards has since disappeared from the business for years and it is now a cozy party cafe in the center of Groningen with a lot of Dutch music interspersed with songs from the 80s. Every month we try to organize live music by known and unknown artists or bands that transform the cafe into an exuberant party.

Various artists have already performed in Bar Players such as Jan Smit, Frans Duyts, Frans Bauer, Jannes, Marianne Weber, Koos Alberts, Stef Ekkel, Lucas and Gea, Rene Schuurmans, Django Wagner, John West and Henk Dissel.
