On Thursday 2023 January XNUMX, Alderman Mirjam Wijnja will open the second World of Barista location in Groningen. The new store is located on Brugstraat and houses the World of Barista Academy & Concept Store. It will be the spot where both coffee enthusiasts and catering professionals can immerse themselves in the world of coffee.
World of Barista has been a household name in Groningen for ten years
World of Barista has been a household name for coffee lovers in the city of Groningen for ten years and is known as an espresso bar and catering supplier on the Grote Markt. In addition to a nice cup of coffee or a bag of delicious coffee beans from its own line, World of Barista also offers education, workshops and training. The motto of owner Ulas Tarakci is: "To multiply knowledge you must share it." From this point of view, the idea was born to create a space where knowledge and passion come together.
Professional coffees
Since the start of the company in 2013, the interest in and appreciation for good coffee has increased enormously. Ten years ago, coffee was often seen as a by-product, most catering establishments now employ a real barista to serve and present professional coffees. The general knowledge about coffee is growing and the guest knows better what he wants, of course we are happy to contribute to this development, says Tarakci.
