The eleventh edition of the Whiskey Festival Northern Netherlands can be visited from 18 to 20 March 2016 in Der Aa-kerk in Groningen. In addition to tasting many whiskeys, interested parties can also gain knowledge through the International Whiskey School Netherlands, enjoy a VIP package and join the Whiskey Dinner.
The North Netherlands Whiskey Festival has put together various arrangements and tastings for its visitors, led by experienced speakers. For the 'beginner' educational and very accessible whiskey tastings and for the more experienced whiskey lover and a number of very exclusive packages with master classes and tastings that can be booked separately. The activities require a ticket and are divided into Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.
International Whiskey School Netherlands
For the first time it introduces WFNN this year the three-day International Whiskey School Netherlands: from 17 to 20 March an intensive, professional training on the production of whiskey. Each course day is a combination of in-depth theory lessons and practical sessions that include a number of practical visits and workshops. The participant receives an extensive set of documentation and course books, a lunch package and dinner every course day, access to all festival sessions of the WFNN, extensive tastings, transport to excursion locations and finally, an official certificate of participation in the International Whiskey School Netherlands.

VIP
As in previous years, a limited number of VIP packages can be booked again this year. As a VIP you can enjoy various exclusive whiskey tastings, unique sessions and get access to a number of special whiskeys from selected exhibitors. Above all, the VIP benefits from a luxurious treatment during the festival.
whiskey dinner
The 2016 whiskey dinner will take place on Thursday 17 March 2016 in Bistro 't Gerecht, Groningen. Top chef of Bistro 't Gerecht will work together with the internationally renowned whiskey chef Martine Nouet. Each dish is accompanied by its own whiskey that is a must on WFNN. Dinner is now sold out and will start at 19.00:18.00 PM. Entry is from XNUMX p.m.
Bob Cards
A trial will be started this year for the 'consciously intoxicated drivers' in collaboration with Safe Traffic Netherlands. Holders of the special Bob entrance ticket can have a breath test taken after their visit to the festival. If the alcohol values are in order, you can get 50% of the entrance fee back after handing in the Bob entrance ticket.
Since this is a trial, there is only a limited number of Bob entrance tickets available, therefore a maximum of one ticket per order, can be ordered via this website.
Accommodation
To experience and conclude the full experience of the festival, it is recommended to stay overnight in the NH Hotel de Ville in the Oude Boteringestraat in Groningen, next to Bistro 't Gerecht. The hotel was transformed into the new WFNN Whiskey Hotel during the Whiskey Festival North Netherlands.
