In the arena of the Gastronomic Guild on the Hospitality 2017 the winner of the Best Horeca Training Company 2016 has just been announced, an election that is organized by SVH (Stichting Professional Horeca)† The three contenders for the title of 'Best Horeca Training Company 2016' were: 'Goed Proeven' Arnhem, 't Feithhuis' Groningen and 'DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Amsterdam' (Amsterdam CS).
The Election Best Apprenticeship Horeca is over SVH was created to stimulate learning in practice and to highlight the value of training companies & tutors for the hospitality sector. This is good for individual training companies as well as for the sector as a whole. By devoting attention to this every year, SVH ensures the best possible practical training for the new generation of catering professionals.

Rolling up your sleeves for jury
Prior to the final, the nominated companies had to take a number of “trials”. One of the assignments was to receive the jury as students on their first working day. In 't Feithhuis they knew what to do with it. After a shortened version of the “new employee training” the jury was able to get to work: behind the bar, in the service and in the kitchen. This was followed by discussions with teachers and students of 't Feithhuis. For 't Feithhuis and the two other finalists, the wait then started until January 10, when the winner of the national title would be announced. Owner Kempe Postema: “Actually, we have already won, because how nice is it when your own students nominate you as the best training company?, that alone is worth gold!”
