VFrom Friday 1 May we will go to the parking lot of the chestnut farm sell beautiful, sustainable, healthy and responsible snacks and drinks. Owner Jeroen Penninga of the Kastanjehoeve had recently started offering takeout menus in the weekends.
“We want to live in the brewery,” says Penninga. “We miss our guests. The takeaway menus are doing well, but we only do that on weekends. I want more, I would like a buzz seven days a week. That's how I got the idea to rent a snack truck. I got into conversation with Marco Agema, formerly Friet van Piet. He has come up with a concept for the Snack Bar of the Future: sustainable, fair trade, healthier food. I won't go as far as he does, but we will do it very differently than the average snack bar, he tells the hairy newspaper"

They are open daily from 15:00 PM to 20:00 PM and can be reached by phone (050-4061281) to order. De Kastanjehoeve works together with various companies from the region. ABZ Anloo for the home-made burgers and croquettes from Gronings pasture beef, the fresh fries come from farmer Menko van Zwol from Spijk and our sandwiches come from master Boulanger Wilfred Haafs from Haren!
In addition, the 3-course takeaway dinner also continues on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
