IA manchester has blundered a restaurant by accidentally serving a very expensive wine.
The guests had ordered a £260 bottle of Château Pichon Longueville, but due to a staff error, they were handed a Château le Pin Pomerol worth around £4500. (+/- € 5100.-) writes the BBC.
The guests did not realize at first that the employees had made a mistake and liked the wine so much that they wanted to order a second bottle. According to the owner of the restaurant, it could be concluded that the guests at least enjoyed the expensive mistake.
In any case, the employee who made the mistake need not fear for her job.
Owner Will Beckett: "I'm going to tease her about this incident when she's not so paralyzed from the shock anymore."
