Ntourage, a new restaurant and bar that promises to raise the bar in Groningen, will open next month at number 29 on Poelestraat. Entrepreneur Marcel Levee has been working on it for over fifteen months: a dynamic concept where food, cocktails, and experience seamlessly blend. "We want to create an evening you won't soon forget."

From dinner to cocktail bar
The idea is as simple as it is ambitious: guests begin the evening with dinner in a bistro setting and then proceed to a cocktail bar with a DJ. "It's not a static story," Marcel explains. "It has to be dynamic. First, good food and drinks, then slowly immerse yourself in the music and atmosphere." The dishes are designed in an international bistro style with luxurious accents: oysters, sashimi, and refined small plates paired with champagne by the glass. This should make for a complete evening.

Immodest interior and total experience
For the interior, Marcel collaborated with Too Many Agencies, known for several award-winning hospitality concepts. The result is a distinctive design with different atmospheres in each space. "It's like a journey," he says. "You experience something different in every corner. I hope guests lose track of time and feel like they're truly away from it all." Music plays a key role in this. During dinner, the acoustics remain balanced, allowing for conversations without having to shout over the music. Later in the evening, disco-house and Ibiza vibes take over, and the restaurant gradually transforms into a lively cocktail bar.

Public and opening hours
The restaurant deliberately targets a slightly older crowd that doesn't party late into the night. That's why they've chosen to be open Thursday through Saturday. "It suits this clientele to start and end the evening together," says Marcel. "Peak in early is the new after-party." Eventually, themed brunches will follow on Sundays, ranging from a drag show to a culinary lobster day or an Italian edition with a matching wine tasting. "These will truly be events you book in advance for."

New energy for Poelestraat
Poelestraat is known as a student street, but Marcel sees a shift. 'The entire Poeleplein has become a beautiful palette of different businesses. With new concepts like Dukes of Tokyo and other initiatives create diversity. I think our concept fits in well with that.
