Pride weekend in Groningen
The Pride Groningen Foundation is organizing the first Pride Groningen since the last 'Pink Saturday' of Groningen that took place in 2011. With the closure of well-known catering establishments such as Dancing 'De Golden Arm' and various gay cafés in the city, the LGBTQI+ catering industry and events in Groningen went downhill. The Pride Groningen Foundation, established in 2021, therefore hopes to create more diversity and awareness with a broadly supported festival program including lectures, exhibitions, events, afterparties and a real Streetparade. Culinary enjoyment at Gastronomy Festival edition 2
Discover the delicious Oriental and South American cuisine of Soulfood Mama. Go on a specialty beer discovery at Baxbier or discover what the Snack Bar of the Future is. At Gastronomy Festival you go on a culinary discovery at various restaurants and producers from the North. After two years full of corona measures for festivals, the organization of the festival is therefore very happy that it is possible again and without restrictions! After the 1st successful indoor edition of the Gastronomy Festival in MartiniPlaza, an outdoor edition was chosen this year at the Suikerunieterrein at EM2 with the same vibe. Gastronomy Festival takes place on Saturday 17 September from 15:00 PM to 22:00 PM and is co-organized by Horecagroningen.nl and Sligro Groningen. Info & tickets can be found at gastronomyfestival.nl
Week as usual
With about 5500 new 'freshmen', the boulder week back in business and back to the level of 2019 before the corona crisis. After two years of studying online, the many new students can discover Groningen in all its facets as before. The traditional recipe of a Grand opening, Keiparade, Mega Karaoke, Pub Crawl, Open Air Cinema and grand closing party at the Suikerunieterrein causes a lot of sore throats and lack of sleep. The real brave of course miss the afterparty from 03:00 to 06:00 in club Palace not and after that it's another week of sleep! Are you looking for a nice side job after this precious week? Noorderzon started
The 18nd edition of Noorderzon will take place from August 28 to 32. After two years of corona absence, the Festival has changed on several points this year. For example, the Romeo tent has been said goodbye and the great music Dok has been changed into the Apollo. Are you thinking what terms? Check out the Noorderzon program: program.
