Former manager of hard rock café De Ster in Peperstraat passed away on Wednesday evening. His wife Mieke Remkes has announced this via their joint Facebook page.

"Everything comes to an end," said Johnny Többen six years ago when he was forced to close his cafe De Ster announced.
Together with his partner Mieke Remkes, he ran the pub from 1980 to 2010 that had a reputation as the only hard rock café in Groningen far in the country. The manager had to leave when the brewery indr decided to sell the property.
