florentine, The Stockroom, Inn Under the Linden and Lokaal Kilo's Schuiven join forces and start a new one regional lunch: Local Heroes† The first edition will be held on Sunday 16 August, during lunch.
Producers from the Northern Netherlands
In recent months, many people in the Northern Netherlands have started eating locally. And not without reason: in addition to being nice and short on the road, it is also very tasty. This dinner features three local producers:
- Bee country gold Mustard and spelled are grown here. But Hero (what's in a name) also makes a delicious juice from the currants on the farm, which the people at The Stockroom can use to make a delicious cocktail.
– The shrimps of solt do not make the journey that many of their peers do: via Morocco and Eastern Europe back to the Netherlands, because labor is cheaper there. These shrimps really taste like shrimp! And you taste that.
– On the farm of Edwin and Petra, near the Wadden (Wadden pigs so), the pigs have the time and space to grow up peacefully. With respect for animals and nature!
The farmers are also present during the dinner, so that those present can ask them about the products or farming methods.
In the kitchen and behind the bar
Tom Bullinga and Steven Klein Nijenhuis are standing behind the pans in the kitchen. Tom Bullinga worked at Merlet*, among others, and is now a chef at Florentin. Chef-Owner Steven, from Herberg Onder de Linden in Aduard, likes to cook with seasonal and local products. Behind the bar are Emile Bos – who started together with Bullinga Florentin – and the people from The Stockroom. At The Stockroom you can drink great cocktails, and that is of course also possible with local products for this lunch.

Reservations can be made via the website of Florentin† The price is €75.- for a full menu, excluding drinks. Do you want to know more? Mail to info@lokaalkilosschijn.nl
