Six chefs competed against each other in three rounds last Saturday from 11.00 am Ready Cook in Groningen at the Vismarkt. The chefs had to prepare and present a dish within thirty minutes.
The teams had to buy groceries at the market within thirty minutes and then cook the dishes within thirty minutes and serve them to the jury and a visitor's table.
The two chefs with the most points competed in the final for the coveted title Best Chef of the Market 2017 and a 'golden ticket' for Ready Cook† These 2 finalists were Dennis Brouwer (Café de Stadstuin) & Elvis Mesic (Three Sisters Groningen) from Ready Cook' edition Cooking with the market Groningen 2017.
Brouwer won with his dish roasted plaice fillet with green asparagus, bok choy and candied roseval and lemon / ginger dressing with dried tomato.
Winner Brouwer received a large cup!
