On a telephone call with the publisher of horecagroningen.nl I drove into the city last Friday. Beautiful! How beautiful? Well all over the street I see them hanging on benches, sitting on empty beer crates and makeshift bleachers. Add widescreen and set it on fire…
Roasting is grilling pieces of meat or fish over an open fire. If we do this outside (cookout), then it's barbecuing...or in good Groningen: DIK DOUN IN TOENE.
The golden yellow juice with the name beer is quite tasty with a dish with a spicy smoke taste, but hereby my top 3 wines are red, white and rosé. Note: I see a “bbq wine” as a respected wine that is equal to the deliciousness of the grill and not above.
RED: Shiraz Geographe, Fermoy Estate, Margaret River, Australia – spicy, powerful and fruity – €10,35
ROSE: Cabernet Sauvignon, Montemar, Catalunya, Spain – full, ripe and full of character Spanish temperament – € 5,30
WHITE: Verdejo BARRICA, Medina, Rueda, Spain – toast, deep with powerful palette – € 9,35
In the garden or on the street: who cares. Next week we're going on a picnic...the outdoors is wonderful.
