And the holiday is over! The signs and banners with the text “we are going back to school” appear and there is again a commotion in the street.
But the sun is still shining this week and that gives a small feeling of homesickness. Nostalgia for the summer holidays, the extremely nice weather of the last weeks of August, the outdoors; let us recharge by the sun…live like God in France. There is help, or rather a medicine: packaged in a frosted bottle; dose to take at least 2 glasses per day before – during – after eating. Unfortunately not yet available without a personal contribution from the health insurance package, but I will make a strong case for it: Domaine Saint Ferreol Coteaux Varois en Provence 2011. Tempting and characteristic Provencal rosé with the characteristic salmon color and refined dry taste. The vineyards have the classic southern French mix for rosé: grenache (60%), cinsault (30%) and syrah (10%). Great as an aperitif but also good to combine with fresh salads, bouillabaisse and other fish dishes. Get well soon!
