The bullet is through the church… no tram in Groningen. Peace comes to the world of political Groningen.
Still, I am somewhat disappointed: the image of a tram in the city of Groningen in the year 2013/2014 with advertising and reference to the supplier of the delicious drink WINE is not in it.
Waiting quietly for the fire “tram” to rekindle… time will tell. Well: in the world of wine, patiently letting time do its work is the most natural thing. Wine takes time. Time to make; time to be drunk; time to learn to drink it; time to appreciate it and search endlessly for the best combination: it takes time. But also give it time. Drinking a wine of 20 or 30 years old? Take your time!
A wine that really needs its time is Château Patris (no, not Petrus). Château Patris Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2009: In a way, it's fortunate that not every well-made wine is reviewed by wine journalists. As a result, these beautiful wines remain unknown and unnoticed, outside the regular customer base!
Château Patris Saint Emilion Grand Cru is such a wine. No medals, no Parker points and not even a mention in the important French wine guides, but what great quality! Plots of the vineyard are next to the famous and very precious Château L'Angélus. The fantastic and creamy Château Patris is made from 80% merlot and 20% cabernet grapes, of course hand picked, fermented and aged in oak barrels. Only drinkable after 5 years aging in the bottle.
Trust me, the wait is well worth the reward! Oh well, as far as the tram is concerned: luckily we still have the photo.
