Even if you don't understand it, everyone will embrace the above song and your mouth will be watering.
Yes and indeed head for Lauwersoog for the pure shrimp, or taste them at various catering establishments in the Groningen countryside.
So don't escape the city and Ommeland, but rediscover it… by bike and enjoy the Groningen gold of Ommeland and treat yourself to a delicious salad with Dutch shrimps. My table companion goes for the shrimp processed in a croquette (also delicious!) So we average for the wine choice. Per glass, 0,375 liters or 0,75 liters, we go for the whole bottle of the Cave des Grands Crus Blancs Macon-Loche, France. The best, pure white Burgundy without oak aging and smoothness, but with a full, dry taste, very characteristic of this wine region. In fact, this wine is an example of the chardonnay grape in its purest form. The result is excellent drinkability and versatile use. No traffic jams at the French border, no mandatory breathalyzer in the car… feel like God in France on the Groningen Ommeland!
Thanks to France for the wine, the sea for the shrimps, Ede Staal for the energetic song, Chef Bert for the composition on the plate…..we continue our journey on the bike!
3. To Lauwersoog…
TIP: make it something fun and a bottle of wine soothes the saddle pain (and other suffering)!
