How special and very tasty this is: the wines of Château Musar from Lebanon….lead/bulletproof.
Whoever has tasted the wines of Gaston Hochar will never forget this taste: MUSAR = MUSAR. Made from the traditional Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. The wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels. After this wood aging, the bottles remain in the cellar for at least 3 years so that the Musar is ready to drink at the time of purchase. The vineyards are located on siliceous lime-clay soils at an altitude of about 1000 meters, in the Bekaa Valley. The long, warm summers guarantee excellent ripening of the grapes.
Some wine journalists go so far as to label Musar as one of the great wines of the world and, in my opinion, quite rightly so. Taste the wines of Musar….. a bull's eye!
