Less hot? Less crisis? Less…..alcohol? I don't want to talk about the heat… finally sun, sun and more sun. Crisis….well we learn to live with that. Crisis means, loosely translated: turnaround; a change. Change in so many things..and the funny thing is that we don't know exactly how we're going to fill that in because it's unknown to us; let's do that too.
Let's talk about the wine: can it be a little less alcohol? A question that I get regularly and certainly with these tropical temperatures quite logical. Easily digestible wines…I have selected about 20 of them for you (link† Wines on which we last a little longer and the alcohol percentage is not proportional as the temperature rises. My personal favorite Custoza: full-bodied, fragrant dry white wine with a fruity aroma (apple and peach) and a round, full-bodied dry taste. The finish is fragrant and long. Beautiful and full of character…..I drink another glass of this. Last weekend on a lovely terrace on Schiermonnikoog I felt great fit after 3 glasses of Custoza Monte del Fra...perhaps that the Monte del Fra (monk's mountain) is just right on Schier? Sun, plenty of wine and fit……..crisis? It's only a crisis when the wine is gone!
