From 15 to 20 March 2016, the third national Café Week has started. The week is all about extra experience, activities and fun in the participating cafes. This year there are more than 200 participating cafés throughout the Netherlands.
The HorecaBrains initiative is based on the idea to focus on 'the wet catering industry'. In collaboration with various cafés, grand cafés, restaurants with a bar function and dance halls, the party tries to positively distinguish the catering industry; the hospitality industry offers more than just a place to have a drink. By organizing various activities in the participating businesses, the existing guests of the catering industry will be surprised with a different kind of experience and new guests will be encouraged to get acquainted with the relevant locations.
Program
Tuesday March 15 – The official opening of the Café Week will be with the theme 'Open House', where guests can visit various businesses for a look behind the scenes within the company.
Wednesday March 16 – Various catering establishments will organize a beer tasting in which many (specialty) beers will be assessed on the basis of a special test form.
Thursday 17 March – On this day a music bingo will be organized where participants can check off different artists and songs on their bingo card as they pass by during the evening.
