A place where everyone feels at home and has a good time every time. That sums up the feeling of the international Melodica Festival. The fourth edition of the Groningen branch of the festival will take place on May 26 in Bax Bier Proeflokaal and on May 27 and 28 in the Grand Theatre.
Melodica is a global concept: folk and songwriter music in an intimate setting, where people really listen to the artist. It has proven to be so successful that, in addition to Groningen, it is also being organized in Germany, Denmark, Iceland and France.
Artists
In addition to local (Vikings in Tibet, Blue Eskimo) and Dutch acts (Black Oak, Sólin), artists from all over Europe are on stage such as Meadows (Sweden), Lasse Matthiesen (Denmark) and Peter Piek (Germany).
At Melodica there are no big names or headliners: everyone knows each other or gets to know each other, both the artists and the audience, who have always gone home with a smile from ear to ear!
The festival exists by the grace of donations, so the entrance is pay what you want.
