Heineken scolds entrepreneurs in buildings where the brewer is involved as an intermediate tenant, fully cancels the rent for April and May MissetHoreca.
Yesterday they already announced that entrepreneurs who are in properties owned by Heineken, April and May, had to pay half of the rent. Now 700% rent is waived for more than 100 catering properties for the months of April and May.
The idea
According to Heineken, the idea is that the landlord will take care of one month and Heineken the other month.
"But we are still negotiating with a number of rental parties," spokesperson Menno van der Vlist told Misset Horeca. 'However, that outcome has no influence on this measure.'
Even if Heineken cannot reach an agreement with the landlord, the entrepreneur will still be waived for two months' rent.
Whatever happens: the entrepreneurs are sure that they will receive two months' rent.
Rent and interim rent
Heineken Netherlands has about 130 properties under its own management. Tenants of these buildings will receive half of the rent paid by the brewer for the months of April and May. In addition, Heineken rents around 700 properties from over 600 property owners. The beer brewer is therefore an 'interim tenant'. The tenants in these buildings therefore receive a one-off two-month full remission.
